How can we help?

Answers to common questions about Sneaker Vault Portfolio, and how to reach us.

Adding sneakers

  • How do I add a sneaker?

On the Portfolio tab, tap Add Sneaker. Choose Find a Sneaker to start from catalog search, or Add Manually to type the details yourself.

With catalog search, type a model name, nickname or SKU and tap a result. The editor opens with catalog details filled in, and you choose which fields to use. Enter your size, purchase price and your estimate, then tap Save.

  • Can I add a pair without catalog search?

Yes. Tap Add Sneaker, then Add Manually. Only Brand / Sneaker Line is required, and manual entry works offline.

  • Catalog search says it has reached its limit. What can I do?

Catalog search and market references use a data plan with monthly limits. When a limit is reached, use Add Manually. Everything else in the app keeps working, and nothing you’ve saved is affected.

  • Can I add my own photos?

Yes. In the editor, take a photo with the camera or choose photos from your library. Then choose the cover photo and adjust its crop. Camera and photo access are requested only when you add a photo.

Sizes

  • Which size systems are supported?

US Men’s, US Women’s, UK and EU, including half sizes. If your size isn’t in the list, choose Other size… to enter it exactly.

  • Can I set a default size?

Yes. In Profile, set a Default size. It’s used when you start a new pair, manually or from the catalog. You can still change the size on any pair, and existing pairs are never changed.

Estimates and market references

  • What’s the difference between my estimate and market references?

Your estimate is the value you enter for a pair. It’s the figure used in your portfolio totals, differences and insights, and the app never changes it for you.

Market references are optional third-party US marketplace prices you can check for comparison, on pairs that have a SKU: the lowest asking prices for your size and a 90-day average sale price across all sizes. They’re collected periodically, aren’t real-time, are never checked automatically, and never change your estimates or totals.

  • Are the values in the app appraisals?

No. Estimates are your own figures. They aren’t appraisals, financial advice or a promise of what a pair will sell for. Sneaker Vault Portfolio doesn’t authenticate sneakers.

  • How does estimate history work?

Each time you change a pair’s estimate, the app saves a dated entry with the change since your previous estimate. Open a pair and tap View history in the Estimate history card to see the chart and every entry.

Changing only the estimate’s source note updates the current estimate without adding an entry. If you clear an estimate, the chart breaks at that point.

  • Can I use more than one currency?

Yes. Set your default currency in Profile. If pairs use different currencies, totals are shown for each currency separately rather than converted.

Sales

  • How do I record a sale?

Open the pair and tap Record sale (also in the ••• menu as Record Sale…). Enter the date, price, platform and any fees, shipping or other expenses, tap Review, then Mark as Sold.

The pair moves to Sold, leaves your portfolio totals and appears in the sales summary on the Insights tab. To try a price first, use the “If I sell” calculator.

  • Can I reverse a sale?

Yes. On the sold pair, tap Undo Sold…. The pair returns to your collection and totals. The reversed sale is kept on the pair for your records but is never counted in any sales total.

Backups, restoring and exports

  • Where is my collection stored?

On your iPhone. There’s no account and no cloud sync, and your collection is never uploaded unless you export or share it. If iCloud Backup or computer backups are on, Apple may include the app’s data in those backups.

  • How do I back up my collection?

In Profile, tap Export Full Backup. You get one .zip file with every pair, your original photos and crop settings. Save it to Files or send it to another app or device.

Catalog photos aren’t copied into backups. Each pair keeps its catalog photo link, and the photo reloads when you’re online.

  • How do I restore a backup?

In Profile, tap Restore from Backup… and choose your .zip file. The app checks the backup and shows what it contains before anything changes.

Restoring replaces your whole collection; it doesn’t merge. Before replacing anything, the app saves a copy of your current collection on your iPhone. If you change your mind, use Restore It under “Collection saved before last restore”.

  • Can I export a spreadsheet?

Yes. In Profile, tap Export as CSV for a spreadsheet of your pairs’ details and prices, or Export Estimate History (CSV) for one row per estimate change.

CSV files don’t include photos (those are in the full backup) and the estimate history export contains your estimates only, not market references.

  • How do I delete my data?

Open a pair and choose Delete Pair… from the ••• menu. Deleting the app removes all of its data from your iPhone. We don’t hold a copy of your collection, so there’s nothing to delete on our side.
